Every October Dutch Springs hosts an underwater pumpkin carving. The contestants start by cleaning out the pumpkin. They are not allowed to place any markings on the pumpkin at the surface. Due to the buoyancy of the pumpkin, the contestants must place weights in it to get it to the underwater platform. Once
on the platform, the carving starts. The contestants may use any type of carving devise the choice, including a dive knife. Pictured is this years winning pumpkin.

Carved by non other than our very own Shelly Liu. Shelly, an avid diver can usually be seen on a Saturday or Sunday diving with other TSC divers at Dutch Springs. The grand price was a seasons pass to Dutch Springs for 2008.
Congratulations, job well done.
