Overview
The purpose of the Team Successtm
Specialty is to guide a team of 2-8 people through a multi-faceted challenge that engage the mind and the body. Each challenge typically takes 4 dives, including a debriefing session before and after each.
Focusing on the group process, teams progress through a series of creative problem-solving challenges that require intensive teamwork. The Team Successtm
specialty emphasizes creative problem solving and teamwork across a variety of underwater challenges, which bring new insights at the individual and team levels. Emphasizing group process, the instructors lead a discussion after each dive so that the team can recognize its strengths and seize immediate opportunities to improve.
The goal is to:
· Recognize the
team's characteristics.
· Determine and
identify the task skills and process skills needed to achieve the challenge.
· Begin
developing the highest-priority process skills by exploring new ways of working together.
· Develop team
problem-solving abilities plus strategies for continuous improvement.
