The Tec Deep Diver course is intended for those divers with the prerequisite experience and training needed to begin moving beyond recreational scuba depth limits.The Tec Deep Diver course will qualify a diver to make gas-switch, extended no-stop dives, decompression stop dives and accelerated decompression dives using air, enriched air, and pure oxygen to 165fsw. This is the approximate equivalent to other training agencies individual courses that would include: Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, and Extended Range.  There are significant academic, psychological, and physical demands required of the Tec Deep Diver candidate. One should be mindful of this and objectively evaluate themselves prior to enrollment.  The PADI/DSAT Tec Deep Diver course is the finest technical diver course currently on the market. It provides the Tec Deep Diver candidate with training, structure, and support material that is without equal in the industry.   

COURSE PREQUISITES:

To qualify for Deep Tec Diver, you must be:

 

  • Minimum age of 18 years.

  • PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent.

  • PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent.

  • PADI Deep Diver or equivalent.

  • Have completed the Apprentice Tec Course

  • Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 20 dives were made with enriched air nitrox, 25 were deeper than 60 feet, and 15 deeper than 100 feet.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Includes:

  • 2 Knowledge Development Presentations

  • 4 Practical application sessions

  • 5 required Open Water Training Dives and associated skills, in an open ocean environment or body of water deep enough to meet depth requirements

  • All info to prepare divers to successfully pass the Tec Deep Diver exam.
