This course examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of 130fsw/40msw. The object of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression. (Decompression techniques may be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor). | *** Kiss Rebreather Training ***
This is the entry-level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize a nitrox semiclosed circuit rebreather (benefits, hazards and proper procedures are comprehensively taught). | COURSE PREQUISITES: Adv. Nitrox Certified (may be done in conjunction with the rebreather course) | COURSE REQUIREMENTS: •Minimum 500 minutes of confined and open water dive time •At least 8 open water dives •Two dives deeper than 50 ft (15 m) •One dive deeper than 90 ft (27 m) | EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:•Kiss Closed Circuit Rebreather •Open circuit bail-out equipment •Exposure suit suitable for the environment •Slate and pencil •Reel and marker buoy •Depth gauge and timer •Knife, Z-cutter or shears •Mask and fins | | The SCUBA Connection TDI KISS Rebreather courses are offered on request. |
